bamboo is so scratch and dent proof ! I tested with my key and pushed hard and scraped it..it was like I was using a plastic key ! the strand bamboo brand I tested was ecofusion. the install is most important . I saw a lot of bamboo and engineered wood floor problems online with shrinking boards because of installation. im learning that no product is perfect. installing by professionals is important. following manufacturers instalation is very important. the expected rooms humidity temperature year round must be suitable for the material you pick. also the wear layer is important. im learning anything less than 3 or 2 mm with cheap inner core is likely not going to hold up as well to tougher core materials and thicker wear layers. I shopped around and the cheaper floors are the thinner wear layer floors. in the end it depends on your budget and how many years you will be using the floor :) im learning so I hope what ive shared so far is a bit helpful ? ive has solid oak and cherry floors in other homes before. they all wear :) this new place has concrete and im not choosing solid hardwood .

I am also in the process of installing new wood floors throughout the house including the kitchen. I have had bamboo floors in the past and loved them. But they do dent. I am considering the Calibambo Mocha fossilized eucalyptus wide click over my concrete sub floors. Have you made a decision yet. One thing I know for sure, make sure you do a good moisture test even if your subfloor is not concrete and spend the extra money for a good moisture barrier and use cork to stop any echoing if your rooms are large.
