Hi all

I am Planning on doing a DIY install of 200 sq ft of 5" maple. I have been reading guidlines on many websites and have some questions about the install process.

Many of the wide plank sites suggest #15 felt, over clean tight subfloor etc, which is pretty straightforward, however then they throw in that if its 5" wide or more, It helps to glue it. My questions is on the this. If I am installing with any form of vapor barrier how can I glue?

Do I need a vapor barrier?. (Its over a semi finished basement. Its dry down there)

Do I need to Glue 5" plank?

I also see recommendations of screw and Plug on the ends - How can this work on pre-finished floor.

Sorry if these sound basic - I want to ensure I get it right
