| We're putting in 2-1/4 site-finished solid red oak over concrete slab.
We've got quotes from installers who use: Taylor, Shamrock, Mullican, Northwood and Maxwell flooring. Any opinions on these flooring brands, pro or con? Any other brands you like or had bad experiences with? Much appreciated! |

| Taylor makes a fine product-- I have used it. BTW, there is a good article on laying oak over concrete in either Fine Homebuilding or Fine Woodworking in the past couple of years. I get both and cannot recall which I found it in. Find the article on the web or at your library and read it. It takes real care to do this right; and if you don't you will be unhappy. Will |
