Tell me about your wool carpet....

| We're in the market for new carpeting, and we're being seduced by wool carpet (wall to wall). I've heard so many good things about it, but would like to hear some experiences from those that have installed it. One of my specific concerns is staining - is it really naturally stain resistant, and how easy is it to clean up spills?
Thanks!

| I know seams are impossible to hide. Also you can buy 100% natural not treated from some Canadian company. it smells like a barn though and finally wool is naturally stain repellent because of the lanolin content. It can't compare with today's stain resistant carpets however. check out "Shaw ClearTouch" environmentally friendly, almost stain proof, super soft, I love that carpet if you can't tell. I have installed 1000s of yards or wool carpet and the only thing i don't like are the seams are impossible to hide. The only thing I like is you can say "It's Wool" |

| Do you have experience with Godfrey Hirst's wool/nylon blend carpets? Thanks for the info on the ClearTouch - I'll check that out! We're looking for a natural, organic look and the only so far I've found is Shaw Natural Boucle, but I'm concerned about the durability/wear - not rated for heavy residential traffic. |
