We met with a hardwood installer today who brought several samples. They were all Aurora Hardwood. Any feedback about that brand?

Also we are not sure which species to choose..there was a hickory we liked a lot and an elm we liked better. He said they will be in the same ballpark in terms of pricing. But we are concerned about the elm being too soft as we have children who are very hard on...well...everything ;). The floor professional said elm is a little softer but we shouldn't be concerned with either. But I thought in feeling them that the elm was much softer...anyone have experience with elm vs. hickory?
