I'm looking for some information on flooring other than carpet! I've researched carpet like crazy but have not done much on other types of flooring so would love some help.

We are replacing the carpet in our home but have opted out of carpet for one room, our "cat room/sewing room". This room is our cats main living space. We do not want carpet because she pukes frequently (disgusting, I know). It looks like the choices are laminate and vinyl (vinyl tile? luxury vinyl?). The room connects to our living room which is wood but wood is just not in the budget given the huge amount of carpet we are replacing.

I'd love any opinions on the right type of flooring for this room. We want something inexpensive, something that looks decent and will hold up to the cat and her disgusting ways. :)
