Mop & Glow build up on hardwood floors

My niece made the mistake of mopping her hardwood floors with mop and glow in order to keep them real shiny. Well the wax build up is very evident now and it's making her nuts. Can you effectively strip the build up off the floor using ammonia or another cleaner or would this job be best left to a professional? Can they strip the wax without ruining the finish? Thanks so much.

It can be stripped using a non-ammoniated wax stripper. You might need to locate a janitorial supply store to purchase. It should be done carefully, probably by hand, to lessen the chance of damage.
