paint for laminate wood floor

My son's room has cheap laminate wood flooring which I'd like to turn into a basketball court. I was going to paint the lines, but with the sheen on the floor, I doubt it will stick without sanding it down. Problem is I just want to paint the key with a circle. any thoughts on the easiest way to do this, or which paint I should use?

You're not going to get paint to stick. Use some colored racers tape to lay it out. If you press it down enough, it will stick well enough. Better than paint anyway.

Epoxy paint 'might' stick well enough. You would be advised to test first. Also...watch out for overspray from furniture polish that settles on the floor, if you've ever used that in the room. Nothing sticks to furniture polish.
