All my tea, coffee & coffee grounds go into their own little container behind the sink (to pour directly onto grass/bed) - that container is separate from the kitchen scraps container that gets carried out to the compost bin. All the Best, Tree PS last year I did a bit of "saving" kitchen water (mainly from cooking b/c I just can't get my head around "antibacterial soap" residue on my plants/compost) - but it got too out of control, time mgmt/logistics wise. In the process though, I did notice how much fertile water would otherwise be going down the drain, ughh! However, I've learned to prioritize my activities, and my composting/gardening at some point has to get woven around my other priorities (don't tell the others or they won't let me stay in the compost-wacko club anymore. ;)

Without a doubt in your mind, do it. Dig it deep,till around on top layer, and be encouraged about the truth. I fish in the spring here on Lake Livingston,TX and catch 500-1000 shad on 20 minutes. I planted around 20 plants in a trench. 10 days before and after I tilled(Troy-Built),I would bring the leftover shad=bait home and just pour the shad/blood/water over this area. Many ants at first,then it dies down. No idea about useful properties regarding a 5-gallon bucket of shad vs. a single fish scale. Take care, Travis

I'm still here and drooling over everyone's delicious looking dinners. I've been posting, although probably not quite as often. I started a blog Thibeault's Table and it has taken up much more time than I expected it too. It is a work in progress. I didn't realize that it had been so long since I posted on the WFD thread. We are still eating well. Here are a few of the meals we have had in the past few weeks . Lori's Parmesan Crusted Halibut Clams steamed with white wine and garlic with homemade bread for dipping. Chicken and Dumplings (Southern Style) Homemade Donuts. Made three different neighbours very happy with fresh warm donuts. Wings with homemade Potato Chips Tex Mex - Pork Chili Verde with homemade flour tortillas Greek Ribs - Grilled Roast Leg of Pork Saucisson Au Chocolate et aux Figues (Chocolate Salami) I made crepes one night and we had them for dinner and dessert. The main course was crepes were filled with chicken and mushroom in a cream sauce and the dessert crepes will filled with goat cheese and dulce de leche. A recreation of Matthew's favourite dessert from a little Mexican restaurant that we use to go to in Toronto. Panfried Breaded Pork chops Nigella's Chocolate Chip Muffins Roast Chicken again. Matthew and Dana came up for dinner one night and we had Grilled Prime Rib steaks. Dessert was Blackberry cobbler. I'm still baking bread on a regular basis, and I'm trying to keep Bagels in the freezer. Moe loves them toasted for breakfast. Chicken Kung Pao Spaghetti with bolognese sauce. We usually have pasta of some sort once a week or at least every 10 days. Made Pancakes for breakfast one morning and yesterday's breakfast was a bacon, mushroom and potato hash with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. Pizza Anna Olson's Ultimate Chocolate Cake. I drizzled it with caramel sauce although that wasn't part of the recipe. And last night we had a Corned beef and Cabbage dinner.

Rather than reheat it, I would probably make a sandwich with it. Mound half a lightly toasted roll with cold slaw. On the other half of roll, place the fish, covered with a slice of cheese. Put the fish and cheese half under the broiler or in a toaster oven just to melt the cheese. Assemble and munch! Or, bring the fish to room temp (so the butter won't be yucky), and serve in a sandwich with sliced tomatoes, roasted red bell peppers and shredded ice burg lettuce...mayo or salad dressing. Alternately, if you're a salad sort, make a nice bed of greens and a citrus vinaigrette. Let the fish come to room temp, serve it on top of the greens.
