| We have 22' high ceilings so disbursement of heat isn't really a problem, but the mantle does deflect some heat. We tore the old tile off the fireplace surround, cut off the raised hearth and built a recessed area above the fireplace for the TV. Installed a 65" X 11" granite mantle. Used 2" hose to fish wiring through behind the fireplace. Then put in a marble hearth. Take a look.... Work In Progress: Completed: |
