Harman P61 status light error

I have a Harman P61 about seven years old. I am getting a 2 blink status light error. According to the manual, this indicates that the jumper probe is disconnected from the back of the control panel (J2). I checked and it appears to be intact. I did not follow it out to its terminus as this would involve wedging myself behind the stove (and it happens to be on) The stove appears to be operating correctly, i.e. larger flame, more heat when I turn up the dial. I only use the stove in "stove temp" mode. I dont know if this has anything to do with it or not, but I just got through replacing the slider plate pusher assembly. That particular compartment had not been cleaned since the stove was purchases (even though I had a dealer tech come out and clean the stove last year) and the pusher plate snapped off the rod. Anyway, even though the stove appears to be functioning properly, that little light is nagging at me. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

One thing to check since you had the stove serviced around the feeder area.

If it's an older model check to see if it has a feeder micro switch. It's located on the side of the feeder. Other than the jumper not being connect, 2 blinks also indicates the circuit board has not sensed the micro switch closed for a certain amount of time. Check that the feed arm is making contact with the micro switch.

The stove should operate normally except for when you go to shut it down. Then I think it will keep the stove burning until it runs out of fuel rather than shutting down completely once the stove cools. I think the micro switch on the feeder was a kind of saftey switch to allow the slide plate to posisition itself in a way to block any chances of fire or burn back into the hopper.

Hi i have the same stove,same problem. i found a detailed cleaning article on line. there is a box inside the stove that needs to be cleaned ,mine was full! you have to take the stove apart to get to it ,nobody ever told me that.after a good cleaning ,i cleaned the feeded door and reinstalled it. i also added a few ounces to the counter weight( has like 6-7 washers on it) working great! http://www.harmanstoves.com/maintenance/p38&p61cleaninginstructions.pdf
