| Hi, thanks to the reviews on this forum, I am installing two Valor G3 inserts into masonary fireplaces that currently have gas logsets. For the LR fireplace, there is 35 feet to the top of the chimney and for the BR fireplace there is 25 feet to the top of the chimney. I have received quotes for installation for installation of both fireplaces of $1800 and another for $2035. This is just labor and does not include the material which I have to purchase from the dealer. It also does not include the cost of the boom truck to lift them up to the chimney top. There is no need to install a gas line or electrical. Is this a normal charge? I feel like I'm being charged $300 per hour, but I'm not sure how involved this is. Should I shop for an independent installer not involved with the fireplace store? |
