We installed in some Mc Near thin brick around our fireplace, kitchen backsplash, and wall. Although it is real brick, it looks so fake. It is "flashed" and not uniform, but it just looks horrible.

The guy at the building supply store where we purchased it suggested that we "acid wash" it to give it some character. Has anyone done this? Could you send me a picture and what does it look like?
