replacing gas insert with pellet insert

HELP!!! I am in need of advice on replacing a gas insert with a pellet one. the existing gas fireplace has no chimney and has a venting system to the outside. i have been to several servicers, but none have been able to confirm if this is possible. has anyone done such a thing, know for sure if it is possible or know of a place i can go to get answers?? any help at all would be greatly appreciated.

might be able to, might need a larger pipe or need to move to different hieght depending on how it comes off of insert.
can you get pellets cheap enough to make it worth while?

i love mine and get pellets cheap but know of a lot of people who pay more for pellets then natural gas
