| I purchased a home in 2005 that has a gas firplace. The gas is connected, it has a single burner and a key to turn on the gas. It's never been used and perfectly clean. What I'd like to know is how I can find out if it's for wood, vented logs, or ventfree compatible just keeping the damper shut?
Can anyone help? |

| It could be a fire lighter. not very popular now. used to start your fire and then shut off. |

| Thanks, but it has a pre-fab chimney and I'd like to keep the damper closed and use vent free logs. Is this possible? |
