| Hi All, I want to remove my mantel - we need to lower it about 6". I cannot tell how it is installed and have no idea where to start. The only thing I can see is that there may be some type of metal bracket holding the mantel to the brick wall behind it. I can see metal pieces between the mantel and the brick. There also appear to be some nails holding the vertical pieces below the mantel to it, or vice versa. Any advice? |
