Does premixed lime mortar have a shelf life? I bought a large bucket a few years ago, but never opened it. I'd like to do a little spot repointing on my 1830s brick house to prevent further damage while I wait for someone to repoint in the spring. Long story, but I've been trying to get this work done for 3 years and the mason has blown me off 3 times while insisting that he wants the job.
