Just wondering if anyone else is having as much trouble as i am having. We purchased a new ($3800 installed) Mt Vernon Quadra Fire Pellet stove in 11/05. It has been the worst purchase I have ever made. The stove is so loud that you can't sit in the room. The fan has a whistle. It sounds like a jet engine. The dealer I purchased it from is great. They have been out several times. But they can't fix it. The 2008/2009 model has a different fan assembly which is very quiet. I contacted Hearth and Home Tech. manufactuer of the stove and they told me to pound salt go back the the dealer...... They dealer will trade the stove in for a lose of $2100.00 that right they will give me $1700 dollar for the stove that i paid $3800 for that has never been right. I went to the BBB (JOKE). they did nothing other than send a couple emails. All Jeff Cox at Hearth & Home Tech. / Quadra Fire will say is contact the dealer and the stove operates as designed. He is taking ZERO action
