Fireplace won't light since power outage

I've got a gas fireplace with a switch on the wall to start it. We had a scheduled power outage last weekend that lasted about 20 hours. Since then the fireplace won't light anymore. When you flip the switch nothing happens. I haven't opened it up yet to get the model number off it. Is there anything I should be looking for specifically? I'm sure it is an electrical problem, I just don't know where to start.

check for a tripped breaker in teh main panel.
