Cheap cheerful and overwhelming-adding a insert

So a flood last spring has made me redo my basement. A fireplace insert is what is going to keep the new space warm (for my newly pregnant wife).

I have a wood burning stove and want to put in an insert. I have found a few for around $400 they all seem to be Magestic RHE32 units, some have the blower and some don't. I really have a very limited budget.

Is there any opinions on these units out there. Also I haev been quoted $400 for the liner and $300 for installation.

Thoughts on those numbers would be helpful too.

Thanks very much.

Shawn
