Hearth Heater by Regency recomendations

Today I was told that the clearance of my fireplace is such that I cannot install a normal fireplace insert. Then the dealer started to try to sell me on a high efficiency gas insert. I'm tired of being a victim of the Irobs (Arabs). I immediately called another dealer and he informed me of the Appalachian 30 CD and the Hearth Heater H2100 by Regency that would get around my problem. My prior question to this panel gave me feedback that the Appalachian stoves are less than ideal(thanks XXandria). My studies of the stove reviews on the Hearth Heater by Regency show a very good record. Do any of you have this stove (or a kin), and what is your opinion of it? These stoves have the exhaust coming from behind the stove and allow for a wood stove to be connected to an existing fireplace with smaller clearances.

Another question, are there any other stoves out there that would suit my needs...no more than 20.5" high, or back exhaust stoves? Thanks everyone for your help ahead of time.
