What size of Liner for a 6' x 9' Chimney flue

Hi,

I have a 6" x 9" (inside diameter) chimney flue and was wondering what size of stainless steel flexible chimney line can be installed? Will a 6" chimney liner fit? Is it a do-it-yourself kinda job? Can I run the line straight to the stove from the top of the chimney or do I need to install a tee with a clean out cap? If you have done this before, can you guide me through it.

Hi there, if you are sending a flexible stainless liner down your chimney to your cleanout, you will have to tee it off inside the chimney to recieve your stove pipe. It's not really a do it yourself type of job because you need to pour a material around the stainless pipe for insulation.
