HI300 Hampton dirty glass

coldinks

Hi, I recently installed a Hampton HI300 Timberline Brown with Homesaver Pro insulated liner. I have burned it 3 days now. Yesterday I cleaned the glass for 2 hours, finally used the blade of a carpenters knife to scrape the creosote off. So, last night I opened the damper more and today I had a nice glaze of creosote again. I am burning dry black locust, it was dead standing up, no bark left. The wood puts out nice heat and lasts about 10 hours. Is this wood too high in creosote? I turned the wood parallel to the door and it was better than the other night with the logs pointing toward the door. Any thoughts, and any recommended cleaners? I have a white and red bottle of a clear spray that come from the dealer, but it wouldn't cut the first layer. It does a great final cleaning.
