| Just got a wood stove insert and have been experimenting w/ how to circulate the heat. I have a family room (where the insert is) and a living room (where couch and TV are). Two rooms are separated by a wall.
Temperature difference is about 5 deg F. Wife is adamant we not rearrange the furniture. I tried running the central air fan but that didn't work very well. Then I tried putting those magnetic vent covers on the cold air returns in the cold rooms - to force the fan to suck warm air from the family room. Still didn't equalize the temperatures after about 2 hour test. I'm waiting for colder temps and will try it again. I've seen some thru the wall fans. Does anyone have experience with them ? |
