Wood stove on screened porch?

Posted by jeff2718 (My Page) on

My wife and I are in the process of designing our new home, and one thing I'd like to do is include a wood stove on our screened porch to extend the season for enjoying it. Has anyone else done this? I've done some searching and haven't found anything about it. Are there any particular issues we should be concerned about?

Why not? No reason I can think of. Install it just as you would a regular stove.

I've seen that on HGTV, but I don't remember what show. I know it's very popular in North Carolina vacation homes right now. There might be some good pictures on the internet :)

Thanks for the responses! I'll try to track down the show and look again for some pics.

Has anyone seen any more information, on this topic? I'd like to install a wood stove in a combination sun/screened porch, about 12' x 22'. Thank you for any information :)

Hi That sounds like a lovely idea I bought my stove from there sales people are very helpful and even designed my chimney. Call them and see what ideas they have.
