Fireplace placement

We have built a sunroom and are putting in a freestanding fireplace. There is a window at the corner where the fireplace will stand. Is it safe to put it near a window?

A "freestanding fireplace" is a wood stove? Gas stove?

That's really a question that should be addressed in the installation guide for your particular appliance.
