I found this website and thought it looked really interesting. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks

RE: Diamond Fire Glass

It's been around a while [there are at least a dozen brands], apparently works, though I'm not personally fond of the look.

The thing that confuses me about this is that the gas FP companies are very insistant that you arrange the ceramic logs EXACTLY as shown in the instructions. Yet these glass shards are just heaped on the pipes-- I guess the difference is that the logs are created like puzzle pieces so the flames come peaking through *just right* for a natural, dancing flame look, while the gas just seeps up through the glass, giving a flame that's going to be more uniform, less wood burner like. Since there aren't any voids, there's no where for the gas to collect in pockets and explode.

There were some beautiful fps posted here a while back that were specifically designed for glass. Very contemporary, but I don't recall the maker.
