Face cords or full cords?

We CSS our own and have close to 30 full cords put up so it's well seasoned by the time we use it. What we use this year will be CSS for 2 years and was mostly standing dead beatle kill pine.

Full cords of course. Mostly maple and oak with some beech and birch thrown in. No pine at all.

Here in VT the trees are felled in winter so they can be dragged out in the snow without damaging anything. During summer it's cut, sold, and then burned the following winter.

Many self employed people do this for a living. Their businesses are varied. Winter is snow plowing and timbering, spring is naturally sugaring season, summer is cutting and splitting, and fall is selling and then Christmas tree sales.

Same here, mostly "seasoned" (not really, it's still green but folks think a few months of time after CSS is "seasoned") wood sold by small time operations, although tree services like to get in on it to. We get our pine free since so many folks believe the old wive's tales about it causing chimney fires (rather than it being because they're burning unseasoned wood). works for me.
