We are building our home and are installing an electric fireplace in the bedroom. Where do we put the electrical outlet? All the descriptions note is to "plug into any outlet." Since we have the opportunity we want to install it where it is least noticeable and best functioning. Can it be installed behind the fireplace out of view? Thanks

yep, I did the same for my stove. Had a dedicated outlet installed behind the unit.

We put ours behind the unit as well. It's a dedicated outlet just for the fireplace. We also wired for a flat screen tv over the fireplace as well, as well as all cables that go to the tv.
