 o
chimney 'siding' ideas?

Posted by bahansen (My Page) on

We are building a two-story home and will be siding it with cedar shingles. Trim color will be white.

We have a woodburning stove for heat, and since the roof pitch is steep, the chimney wound up being quite a prominent feature.

We planned to side the chimney chase with shingles to match the house, but I'm wondering about other options?

Has anyone done something new and different that worked?

Thank you!

We used stucco/parging on ours. Red cedar shingles, off-white/cream trim. Parging was painted a medium brown. I wouldn't say this is new or different, just something that's not shingles.
