 o
woodburning to gas

Hello,
I am having a home built and it comes with a wood burning fireplace. I have asked my builder to convert it to gas because I have bad asthma and was told that wood burning can create a lot of smoke and bother allergies and asthma. The builder is charging me 2550. to run a propane tank to the fireplace and stove. I think this seems like a good price but my husband feels it is too much. Someone also recently told me to ensure that they are not only running a gas line but also providing everything we need for the gas fireplace such as logs, switch, fan. I called to ask and they said they would get back to me. Any opinions?
