| Hello, we are building a new home with masonary fireplace.....we like some photos we've seen in a magazine that is made of brick with a curve at the top of the opening.......how do we determine the height, width, and depth of our fireplace please? Thank you, rt |

| You go to a professional. What are you going to use the fireplace for? Heat? Or looks? Wood? Or gas? Just remember, that a fireplace is a heat LOSER, meaning you will lose heat in your home when you use it, as the home's heat will go up the chimney every time you use it. |

| We plan to burn wood.......will have hearth room with masonry fireplace. We may (or may not) decide to install a fireplace insert-------have not decided yet. Thanks |
