RE: Help requested - size of fireplace

You go to a professional.
What are you going to use the fireplace for? Heat? Or looks? Wood? Or gas?
Just remember, that a fireplace is a heat LOSER, meaning you will lose heat in your home when you use it, as the home's heat will go up the chimney every time you use it.

RE: Help requested - size of fireplace

We plan to burn wood.......will have hearth room with masonry fireplace. We may (or may not) decide to install a fireplace insert-------have not decided yet. Thanks
