| My BIS fireplace is great but because it is flush with the outside (north) wall I feel that a lot of heat is not getting into the livingroom. Would it be fairly straightforward to move the insert 16 inches into the room using appropriate chimney extenders and build a stone surround and mantle? This would allow heat to dissipate from the sides as well as the front (and two forced air vents).
