Sparkfires See-through fireplace reviews?

Does anyone have experience with a SparkFires Fire Ribbon See-Through fireplace? Very modern, sleek design that we love. We would get a direct vent model. Also, is there anyplace online that we might be able to buy this at less than the "suggested retail price" of $5k?!
