Advice on outdoor fire bowl

I just purchased a firebowl from Target and was concerned if the heat from the fire would discolor my patio, which is grey paver bricks.... the rim of the fire bowl is 15" high and the bowl dips lower than that obviously.... I haven't set it up, so I dont know exactly how far it would be from the patio...i spent a lot of money on this patio and don't want it discolored underneath the bowl...would the heat do this or if there is any way to prevent this or any other advice, please let me know....or should I just return it to target? thanks

Who knows?

Since you don't want to take chances, put some bricks or other ceramic material under the fireplace, or devise a heat shield of some kind to protect your masonry from radiant heat.
