Installing Greensmart 864 fireplace

I am building a family room and adding a gas fireplace. I am having the mason build a bump out for the fireplace foundation as the fireplace will be flush with the interior walls. The fireplace is a GreenSmart 864 TRV. The installation manual says the rough framing for the width is 41 1/4" and the depth from the front edge of the framing to the rear of the fireplace is 20". These measurements include the 1/2 required clearance. I am framing using 2x6's. I am going to tell the mason to bump out the foundation 41 1/4 + an additional 6 inches on each side for the 2x6 framing bringing the width to 53 1/4 and for the depth 20 + 6 inches for the for a total of 26 inches. Can anyone confirm my measurements?
