Hello everyone,

I have removed the brick that was in front of my fireplace since im remodeling my place and was removing the old tile floor. I have already gutted my kitchen and bathroom and completed them both. Now im off to ideas on what to do with this 30 year old fireplace. Can i remove the gold paneling around it and just lay cement board around and marble tile? I see there is a vent at the bottom of the fireplace. I have not used this yet as my chute will not open. Any ideas will be helpful.
