| I have noticed something recently with my gas fireplace insert (installed 12/10) and I thought I would ask if it was anything I should get checked out. After the fireplace is on for a while (usually after an hour or more) the flames (which are on the low setting) will suddenly flare up briefly and this accompanied by a sort of Popping? sound. The sound just lasts a second, as does the flame flare up, then everything goes back to normal for the duration of the time the fireplace is on. I notice a similar sound (but no flaring of the flames) when the fireplace is turned off. Is this normal?
Thanks for any info! Abbeyh |

| thanks Chimney guy for the info. I definitely notice a pop after the insert is first shut down. I haven't noticed the flame flare up lately so I guess I won't worry about it for now. Abbey |
