Anyone have some first hand experience with this unit? I'm interested in it because at first glance it looks like a high end unit with indoor/outdoor capability (for an outside wall right out to a deck).

Mentioning it to my builder however he seems to feel the fireplace is going to be like an "open window" in my home as far as anytime its not in use. Unfortunately I google direct vent fireplace and drafts, and find tons of complaints about just that problem with direct vent units. There aren't too many fireplaces out there designed for the type of application I'm considering (a see through indoor/outdoor) and while aesthetically its appealing, this is going to be an energystar home and realistically a drafty fireplace in my main living area isn't ideal at all >Anyone have some firsthand experience with this model or this type of fireplace to give me an idea of whether or not I should just forget this type of fireplace and move on to something more conventional??
