Fireplace screens

I have a wood burning fireplace that has the pull across screens that are hung from a rod at the top of the opening.
We have lived here 10 years and we bought a stand alone fireplace screen when we moved in, never using the pull across screen panels leaving them pulled to the sides of the opening. We are now getting ready to put the house on the market and placing some attention on the fireplace. Today I took away the stand alone screen to examine the pull screens. They look rusty and are hard to pull across. Do we need those panels? Can we just take them down and show the house with the stand alone screen? BTW the stand alone screen is the type that is closed at the top - sort of sloping to totally enclose the fireplace.
