| Hello!
I am restoring a fireplace for decorative purposes only (non-functioning) and would like to put in a tile hearth. I like the look of subway tile - example: http://www.flickr.com/photos/aarronwalter/2974222243/ Subway tile is only wall grade (atleast that I can find). If I find one that is 3/8 thick would this be okay to use? I would think the big difference would be slip characteristics, but there would be no moisture and really no one walking on it. Any other suggestions on a tile to use for a decorative hearth? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |
