| Hi all, We recently had a new Supreme Volcano wood burning fireplace insert installed. Been having issue with it staying lit. We start it according to their directions, using fire starter and stacking the wood rather than using kindling to get it going. Even after the fire gets roaring, if you close the door, the fire starts to choke itself out. The Supreme system uses an automatic damper control located on the top of the unit. They replaced it with a different one, but we are still experiencing the same issue. Note- we live at 8600 ft and to us it seems that the unit is not getting sufficient oxygen- without the door cracked, it's almost impossible to keep it going. Does anyone else have the same unit? Have you had any similar issues? Thanks in advance for an input, info. |
