Cleaning Up Melted Wax on Fireplace

Some candles melted on our cultured stone fireplace surround. Anybody have any inside knowledge /tips on how to clean this up beyond the obvious scraping it will take? Are there any house hold chemicals that work well in cleaning candle wax off of masonry?

Maybe you can try a steam iron and paper towels to absorb the wax as it melts.
