Changed thermocouple - still trouble

Posted by craigferris (My Page) on

I changed the thermocouple in the gas fireplace because the pilot would not stay lit. Now when I attempt to light, there is no spark from the piezo. If I light it manually (with a lighter) it will go out, even with the new thermocouple. Help, any thoughts?

I would advise you to call a professional. It looks like there is something going wrong with the piezo and other parts may not work correctly. I will need to know more about how and exactly what you changed in the first place in order to help...but the best way to solve this it is to ask for professional help.

Just my 2 cents.
