Wood Stove in a Mejestic RC36.

Hello all, just got a wood stove from a friend and wanted to install it in my pre fab Majestic RC36 fireplace. I appears to have never been used and looks to be in great shape. The stove looks to fit like a gem. But alas, i am concerned with the fact its a pre fab unit and not a brick fireplace like the one i used to own.. now, what steps can i take to insure its safety. it looks like it has 8 inch double wall flu pipe in it.. should i replace it with new stainless pipe?? thanks!
