Majestic Ceramic Brick Liner Kit

Posted by robj (My Page) on

We have a Majestic DVB4136 direct vent gas fireplace and would like to install the ceramic brick panel to make it more realistic.

I called Monessen who purchased the assets of Majestic/Vermont Castings after they went bankrupt and they do have some of the brick liner kits available. My local dealer quoted me a price of $395 which is highway robbery - comparable kits go for under $150.

Is it possible to purchase the material and cut panels myself or is this something I have to buy pre-formed?

Nevermind...

I called another retailer who ordered the kit for $166 - much closer to what I was expecting to pay.

Guess which shop will never see me again?

Do you mind sharing where you got that? I am looking into getting a Majestic DV360. It is used and I dont think it has the brick inside. I found an individual who is selling this unit and it seems a bargain. Do you like yours?

It sure looks better than black metal.

They are somewhat fragile so if you can buy locally, that would be better than risking breakage in transit.
