outdoor fireplace area

Here's a shot of our outdoor fireplace/grill/patio area. Our landscaper, homebuilder, and my husband put their heads together to come up with a design. We moved in the middle of November, and have had such great times already. Hopefully, many more to come. Also, I just learned how to post a picture, so here it is, (I think!) {{gwi:1516870}}

oruboris, thank you. Our new home kind of reminds me of the story of The Three Little Pigs. Our last house was made of stucco, and it blew/was washed away by Katrina. So, by darn, this time it's brick, the fireplace is brick, everything is brick. (Plus it's miles away from the Gulf and highly elevated.)

Toward the end of construction, our head bricklayer said if he never say this brick again, it would be too soon! They did the bulk of the work during the hot summer months on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, so you can imagine how steamy it was.
