Power for Fan

So I have a very nice Martin sc36 gas fireplace that works fine, but there is no fan installed. Unfortunately, the installer did not bring power into the box - except for the ignitor.

Installing a receptacle would mean opening up the adjacent wall, and I'd rather avoid that.

I was thinking of wiring a fan into the same circuit that powers the ignitor. It seems logical - the 120v just sits at the ignitor until the button is pressed, and the fan would be on a thermostat, so it would only come on while the fireplace is hot; not while it's being lit.

Any thoughts?
