Below is a picture of our fireplace. As you can see, it is off-center. To the right, we use to have a Tall armoire that fit our small tube TV that seemed to work nicely in the space. Now, we upgraded to a larger flat screen TV, which I think I want to move to a different wall (I don't like seeing it when you walk into the room). So I am considering a built in bookcase for this space. Would this look weird on only one side? Any other suggestions for this space? Any pictures anyone can show me of something similar?

| I think a nice bookcase on that side in a color matching the mantle would be lovely. It would showcase that whole wall. Make it a little taller than the height of the mantle and put some greenery and vases on the top. I believe if you'd paint the white walls a color that would compliment the brick (pick out a medium color shade in the brick) then that whole fireplace angle would be softened.Good luck! |
