Need help with naked ladies! (I think!)
Comments (2)I'm zone 6, sure sounds like nakend ladies. Mine are now yellowing also. I have moved mine when the foliage begins to die back, if only because that is when I can find them. They transplant quite well, although you might not get bloom this year, but you apparently wouldn't anyway. Mine are in full sun and are doing well there, but I have seen them in part shade & they were doing well. Congratulations on your lilies, I love mine. I haven't had mine that long, about 3 years, so don't have huge clumps yet, but they seem to be multiplying well. You may have lots of bulbs there....See MoreWhat to tell the cleaning lady?
Comments (13)I put my cleaning lady on hiatus during the reno, and once everything was done, I was nervous her crew would ruin finishes, so I let her go. Also, I needed to save the cash, and my five kids are at an age (6-13) when they need to learn how to clean. Nothing drives me into la-la-land like a kid lounging like a zombie on the couch while I clean around him/her. I put together a chore schedule on my Mac, explained to the kids how to do the work, and so far so good. They critique each others' jobs. One of the main finishes I thought the cleaning crew would damage was the refinished hardwood floor. They always used too much water, and hot water at that, despite my admonitions. If you have your cleaning lady do your floor, get her one of those big mops with the swiveling terry cloth-covered heads, and mix up spray bottles of floor cleaner. You can buy hardwood floor cleaner concentrate at most flooring stores. Once the floor is cleaned of dust and debris using a dry mop or vac, spritz on the cleaner and mop away. Do not use Murphy's Oil Soap-- the residue will make it impossible to screen and refresh the floors in the future-- you will be looking at refinishing them again....See MoreLadies...I need everyone's honest input...BM contacted me
Comments (14)Ceph, that is a good idea. I just really don't want to ignore this, and then bring it up in a month if BM does something bad and have the police say "well, why didn't you report it then?" I am inclined to think the police would act if I went to them. She violated the order, 100%, no doubt. It makes me angry in that respect becuase to me no contact means no contact. Maybe it makes BM feel better to say those things but I asked for no contact for a reason. I also do not like how she was dishonest about getting it to me in telling SS it was from grandma. I would have sent it right back out the door if SS had said this is from my mom. I don't know. I am inclined to agree with Ima in that, up until today, I have not seen much change in BM's behavior. She still flips out on DH every other week, she calls us nasty names, sends him nasty text messages on the 4th of Juluy about how she is going to make sure SS has a horrible relationship with his dad, etc. But now 3 weeks later she is "fine" and ready to make amends. I personally do not want her amends. I have forgiven her---I think--maybe not because I still get upset if I think about what my child has been exposed to directly because of BM--BUT I am not ANGRY persay. I do not wish BM ill will or harm. I just want to pretend as much as possible that she does not exist. I want my DH to deal with her, I want to live my life and raise my DD, and help my DH raise SS, and that's that....See MoreGive away roses to a lady rose grower who lives in the Bay Area
Comments (7)One time I put an ad for rabbits on Craigslist because we had an unexpected litter. This guy showed up w his wife and daughter and picked up a few baby bunnies. He turned out to be a total perv. He kept calling and texting for like 3mos afterwards and wanting to come over. I didnt answer after the first time he called inappropriately but that didnt stop him from leaving messages and texting. I am never using CL again after that. I had to change my # and I hate that he knows where I live. I cant blame anyone for taking precautions nowdays. You never know....See MoreGaryFx
